Even assuming your cut is square, between measuring, cutting, and cleaning up the edges, it adds up quickly. We handle the hard part so you get a clean, accurate result without giving up your weekend.

30mm x 15mm, which is just slightly under 1-3/16" x 5/8". The side wall is a robust 1mm thick, giving the rod a solid feel and excellent strength.

We tested these under real-world conditions:

• 4' span → 63 lbs → 1/8" sag
• 5' span → 79 lbs → 3/8" sag
• 6' span → 95 lbs → 13/16" sag

These reflect real-world closet use—not theoretical limits.

Not in most cases. Up to about 4 feet, these rods are very solid.

Around 4½ feet, you may start to see some visible sag under heavier loads. If you're planning to load it up at longer spans, adding a center support is a good idea.

Oval rods offer a different look than round rods and are often considered to have a more modern, streamlined feel.

Because of their shape, they will flex a bit more under load than a round rod. However, in most standard closet applications, they perform very well.

If you're planning a longer span or heavier load, adding a center support will eliminate most deflection and give you a very solid setup.

For height, around 66–72 inches from the floor is typical for a single rod.

For double-hang setups:
• 40–42 inches for the lower rod
• 80–84 inches for the upper rod

For depth, 12 inches off the back wall is ideal, but it can be as tight as 11½" and still work well.

Yes. We include shorter screws specifically for 3/4" panels or wood surfaces.

Yes—if you’re able to hit a stud where the bracket needs to go, you can use the longer screws by themselves.

If not, the included drywall anchors will still provide a strong, secure installation.

Yes—here’s a simple way to get it right:

1. Use the bracket itself as a jig and drill two 3/16" holes in the drywall
2. Tap the wall anchors in until they’re flush with the surface
3. Start the screws with a drill if you’d like, but finish by hand to avoid overtightening

Because our brackets don’t have a bulky outer flange like most others, your cleats can be as narrow as 3 inches and still provide solid support.

That means less material, more flexibility, and a cleaner install overall

Set screws keep the rod from shifting or lifting out of the brackets, and they allow you to lock the rod in the exact center.

For the cleanest look, install the brackets with the set screws facing the rear of the closet.
