Even assuming your cut is square, between measuring, cutting, and cleaning up the edges, it adds up quickly. We handle the hard part so you get a clean, accurate result without giving up your weekend.

We tested these under real-world conditions:

• 4' span → 63 lbs → 1/16" sag
• 5' span → 79 lbs → 1/8" sag

These reflect real-world closet use—not theoretical limits.

Not in most cases. Up to about 5 feet, these rods are very solid.

Around 6 feet, you may start to see some sag under heavier loads. If you're planning to load it up at longer spans, adding a center support is a good idea.

Telescoping rods are convenient, but they rely on thinner materials and overlapping sections—which means more flex and less overall strength. They also have that center “hump” where the two pieces meet, which can interfere with hangers.

This is a single-piece steel rod—stronger, cleaner looking, and built for long-term use.

Yes. Round rods distribute weight more evenly, which results in less deflection under load.

If strength is your priority, round is the better choice.

For height, around 66–72 inches from the floor is typical for a single rod.

For double-hang setups:
• 40–42 inches for the lower rod
• 80–84 inches for the upper rod

For depth, 12 inches off the back wall is ideal, but it can be as tight as 11½" and still work well.

If you have a wardrobe with pre-drilled 5mm holes at 32mm spacing, rear-pin brackets are a great choice.

Installation takes just seconds, and adjusting the rod height later is just as quick and easy.

Yes. Each of our rear pins has four tapered ridges.

This gives the bracket a slight “bite” as it’s pressed in, helping create a snug, secure fit.

Not usually.

However, if the 5mm holes in your wardrobe are slightly oversized or worn, the included screw can be used to keep the bracket firmly seated against the panel.

1. Drill the top hole first
2. Insert the top pin slightly into the hole (about 1/16")
3. Press the bottom pin against the wood with a gentle rocking motion to mark its position
4. Drill the bottom hole and insert the bracket

If there’s any play, use the included ¾" screw to lock everything in place.

A good panel depth is 14".

Drill your 5mm holes with a 2" setback. This positions the rod about 12" from the back wall, which is ideal for most applications.

Be sure to use an accurate jig—consistent 32mm hole spacing is critical.
